Barbados is truly a most attractive and unique destination. It
boasts the United Nations label of being the most advanced developing
nation. It has a consistent, stable economy. Its dollar is fixed
at approximately two Barbadian dollars to one US dollar. (Banks'
buying and selling rates are slightly different). Moreover, it has
a long-standing political democracy.
Apart from being a favourite destination for new holiday-makers,
repeat visitors, cruise liners (which you can board and disembark
in Barbados), it also has an enviable investment record as a tropical
real estate paradise. Property values have never gone down in several
decades. Its economy, politics, climate, landscape, beaches, facilities
and activities makes Barbados an amazing country.
There are lots to do in Barbados. Whether you are looking for underground
caves, rolling hills, sugar cane fields, white sandy beaches, peace
and quiet, sun and surf, night life, dining, a marina, sailing, yachting
to other islands or even across the Atlantic, diving, playing cricket,
polo or golf, horse racing, or motor car rallying, Barbados has all
that and more. Barbados is also the main air transportation hub to
most Caribbean islands and some South American countries.
In December 2006, Barbados will host the World Cup Golf Tournament
and in 2007, with other Caribbean Countries, it will host the World
Cup One-Day Cricket.
With its growing off-shore business sector, excellent conferencing
facilities and its popularity for business meetings and retreats,
Barbados has also become a place for business and pleasure combined
as well as for vacationing or retirement.
